What do the scores mean for caregiver stress, worry and sadness?
The score is a daily snapshot of your level of stress, worry, or sadness. Higher scores indicate more stress, worry, or sadness. Scores will generally range between 40 and 60.
What phone version/operating system do I need for the CareQOL app?
The CareQOL App requires that you have an iPhone running iOS 10 or later or an Android device running Android version 7 or later, but we recommend iOS 12 or later or Android version 9 or later for the best experience.
How much battery life does the CareQOL app require?
Battery usage for this app is low. You can check what percentage of your battery life the app is using by accessing “settings” –> “battery”.
Can I wear my Fitbit® while bathing, showering or swimming?
Yes, you can wear your Fitbit® while bathing, showering or swimming. It is water resistant.
How often do I need to charge my study provided Fitbit®?
We recommend charging the device once a day, but the battery does last a little longer than 24 hours.
Why is my Fitbit® data from the last few days not displaying on the CareQOL app dashboard?
Try opening the Fitbit® app on your phone and manually syncing. Step data should be updated immediately, however, sleep data may not be displayed immediately, as it is collected from the Fitbit® server only once each day. If you have tried manually syncing, and the data does not appear in the CareQOL app by the end of the next day, please contact the study team.
My Fitbit® isn’t working. What should I do?
Try charging the device. If it still isn’t working, please contact the study team.
What if I get a new phone?
No problem! Email the study team and we’ll reset your access code so you can log on to the CareQOL app on your new phone.
Where do I go for technical support?
Please contact the study team if you need technical support.
What happens if I change my mind about being in the study?
You are free to stop participating in the study at any time. Please contact the study team if you decide you no longer want to participate.
